Poem constructed in the style of endless or true-love knots
Who wouldn’t want this, a little ritual
in their lives, adding yesterday’s yoghurt to
today’s milk to construct tomorrow’s breakfast? Again and again,
to make use of everlasting cultures, to trace back your
lineage to the first yoghurt, back to the structural cultures creating
home and identity. Who wouldn’t want this –
ceremony and sacrament and self preservation.
